Pennsylvania is one of only six states that allow non-attorneys to hold the position of Magisterial District Justice , giving voters the opportunity to elect someone without a law degree. In fact, over 60% of Pennsylvania's magistrates are not attorneys. The main requirement for those who have not taken the bar exam is certification from the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Todd Britton is proud to announce that he is officially registered for this certification, demonstrating his commitment to serving the community in this important role. As a People's Court position, the Magisterial District Justice serves as a local judge to handle a range of legal matters, providing a direct connection between the legal system and the people.
